Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how travel-itinerary-template.com (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”) handles information when you use our free travel itinerary planning tool. The short version: everything you type into the planner stays on your device. We have no user accounts, no databases of user content, and no way to read your trip. We do measure aggregate visitor statistics with Firebase Analytics, described below.

Information we do not collect

Unlike most websites, the Service is designed so that we never receive your personal data. Specifically, we do not collect, store, or process:

How your itinerary is stored

Your itinerary is saved using your browser's localStorage, a standard storage area that lives entirely on your own device. The data never leaves your browser: it is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is not synchronized between devices. If you open the Service on another device or browser, it will not contain your itinerary.

Analytics

The Service uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. This is aggregate audience measurement only — it tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it, and it never has access to the contents of your itinerary.

To do this, Firebase Analytics collects standard technical and usage data, which may include:

This data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase's data-handling terms. We use it in aggregate form only and never attempt to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and similar technologies

Firebase Analytics stores a cookie and/or a local identifier in your browser to count returning visits. We use no advertising trackers, no fingerprinting, no social-media pixels, and no cross-site advertising networks. The localStorage used to save your itinerary is separate functional storage — it is never sent anywhere.

You can opt out of analytics at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, enabling “Do Not Track” or tracking protection in your browser, or blocking cookies for this site. The planner keeps working normally with analytics blocked.

Hosting and server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and requested page) for security and reliability purposes. These logs are managed by the hosting provider under its own privacy policy, are not linked to any itinerary content, and are not used by us to identify visitors.

Third-party services

Google Analytics for Firebase (described above) is the only third-party service embedded in the Service. We use no third-party fonts, advertising networks, or social-media widgets. Exporting to PDF and printing are performed entirely by your own browser.

Children's privacy

The Service does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request or delete on our side.

Data retention and deletion

Your itinerary remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, using your browser's “clear browsing data” feature, or clicking “New blank trip” in the planner. We cannot delete it for you — and we cannot recover it either, so export a PDF backup before clearing.

International visitors

We do not collect personal data ourselves, and your itinerary never leaves your device. The analytics data described above is processed by Google, which may transfer and store it on servers outside your country under its own safeguards. If you have a privacy request under the GDPR (EU), UK GDPR, CCPA (California), or another applicable law, contact us and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the Service handles data, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted prominently on the homepage.
